Description
Bounce is the joint and mobility chew in the Supplements functional supplement range: a daily soft chew built on a varied prebiotic foundation, then layered with cartilage building blocks, connective tissue nutrients and botanicals that work along the gut-joint axis. It is formulated for dogs who are slowing down on walks, hesitating at the stairs or stiff after rest, and for active and large-breed dogs whose joints work hard every day. Made without meat, wheat or corn.
Bounce is formulated to support:
- Comfortable, easy movement
- Joint flexibility and range of motion
- Healthy cartilage and joint cushioning
- Strong connective tissue, ligaments and tendons
- A healthy inflammatory response in the joints
- Antioxidant protection for joint tissues
- A balanced gut microbiome
Ingredients
Led by the cartilage building blocks glucosamine HCl, GreenDroitin™ chondroitin sulphate, hyaluronic acid and MSM, with KynoSil® silicium, avocado soybean unsaponifiables (ASU) and manganese, the botanicals boswellia, turmeric with black pepper extract, ginger, yucca, green tea and rosehip, DHAgold™ algae and Ascophyllum nodosum seaweed, built on Biolex® MB40, Fibrofos™ 60, pectin and whole-food prebiotic fibres. Every ingredient and inclusion level is listed in full below.
Cold Extrusion Benefits
Heat is the enemy of many of the actives that make a supplement worth giving, so every Bioactive Bite is cold-extruded, shaped at a gentle 38°C, close to a dog's own body temperature.
Why the gentle process matters:
- Prebiotic fibres stay whole. Fructo-oligosaccharides such as those in Fibrofos™ 60 are broken down by high heat, which splits the fibre into simple sugars and reduces its prebiotic value, so a gentle process helps keep them intact.
- Omega-3 oils stay intact. Fragile fats like the DHA in DHAgold™ oxidise and lose their value when heated, so a low temperature helps protect them.
- Vitamins and antioxidants are preserved. Heat-sensitive nutrients such as vitamin C and natural vitamin E hold their potency rather than being cooked off.
- Botanicals keep their activity. Delicate compounds, including the boswellic acids in boswellia, the curcuminoids in turmeric, the gingerols in ginger and the catechins in green tea, are easily degraded by heat.
- Declared levels are protected. A gentle process means far less is lost in the making, so the inclusion levels on the pack are protected through manufacture.
In short, cold extrusion is how a carefully designed formula still delivers once it is in the bowl.

When Every Walk Starts a Little Slower
You notice it in small moments. The pause at the bottom of the stairs. The slow rise after a nap. The walk they once pulled you through, now cut short. The dog who bounded across every room has started to hold back.
Joints depend on more than cartilage alone. They need the building blocks to maintain cartilage and joint fluid, the collagen that keeps ligaments and tendons strong, and a balanced inflammatory response. That balance is shaped in the gut: along the gut-joint axis, an unbalanced microbiome can raise the low-grade inflammatory signals that reach the joints.
Bounce is designed to support joints from the inside out.
Not to mask signs with a quick fix, but to support the cartilage, connective tissue and inflammatory balance that keep your dog moving comfortably, from the first signs of stiffness through to the senior years.
What Bounce Supports
Six Ways Bounce Supports Comfortable Movement
Each benefit connects back to the gut, because comfortable joints are supported from the inside out.
Cartilage Support
Glucosamine and chondroitin supply the building blocks of healthy cartilage.
The science
Glucosamine HCl (240mg per chew) and GreenDroitin™ chondroitin sulphate (80mg), both from non-animal sources, provide the raw materials cartilage uses to maintain its cushioning structure.
For the evidence, see glucosamine for dogsJoint Cushioning and Flexibility
Hyaluronic acid and ASU support smooth, flexible movement.
The science
Hyaluronic acid (5mg) is a natural part of joint fluid and cartilage, and avocado soybean unsaponifiables (ASU, 10mg) have been studied in dogs for their support of cartilage structure.
For the evidence, see ASU for dogsConnective Tissue Strength
Silicium, MSM and manganese support the collagen in ligaments and tendons.
The science
KynoSil® combines bioavailable silicium, a mineral involved in collagen formation, with glucosamine and MSM. MSM (120mg in total) provides sulphur for connective tissue, and manganese is a cofactor in cartilage formation.
For the evidence, see KynoSil® for dogsHealthy Inflammatory Response
Boswellia, turmeric, ginger and yucca support comfortable joints.
The science
Boswellia (10mg) and turmeric (10mg), paired with black pepper extract to aid absorption, have both been studied in dogs for joint comfort, alongside ginger and Yucca schidigera.
For the evidence, see joint supplement ingredientsAntioxidant Protection
Omega-3 and plant antioxidants help protect joint tissues.
The science
DHAgold™ algae (30mg) supplies Omega-3 DHA, while green tea (30mg), rosehip, spirulina, vitamin C and natural tocopherols help protect joint tissues from oxidative stress.
For the evidence, see rosehips for dogsGut-Joint Axis Support
A balanced gut supports a balanced inflammatory response.
The science
Biolex® MB40 (83mg), Fibrofos™ 60 (80mg), pectin (40mg) and fibres from five whole-food sources feed a wide range of beneficial gut bacteria, supporting the gut balance that helps regulate inflammation.
For the evidence, see the gut-joint axisHow Bounce Works
The Science Behind Bounce
-
Balance the Gut
Along the gut-joint axis, a balanced microbiome helps keep inflammatory signals in check. Different gut bacteria break down different fibres, so Bounce feeds them from a varied prebiotic foundation: the mannan-oligosaccharides and beta-glucans in Biolex® MB40, the fructo-oligosaccharides in Fibrofos™ 60, pectin, and fibres from five whole-food sources, rather than a single isolated fibre.

Supply the Building Blocks
Glucosamine and chondroitin are the raw materials of cartilage, and hyaluronic acid is a natural part of joint fluid. KynoSil® silicium, MSM and manganese support the collagen that keeps ligaments and tendons strong, and ASU supports cartilage structure. Both the glucosamine and the chondroitin come from non-animal sources.

Support Comfortable Movement
Boswellia, turmeric with black pepper extract, ginger and yucca support a healthy inflammatory response in the joints, while DHA from DHAgold™ algae, green tea, rosehip, vitamin C and natural tocopherols help protect joint tissues from oxidative stress. That is the gut-joint axis at work: care for the gut, and you care for the joints. One Gut. Whole Dog.™ is not just a name. It is how the body actually works.

Your Dog's Journey With Bounce
Supporting joints from the inside out is a gradual, biological process, not an instant fix. Here is what many owners report as a general guide.
-
Week 1-2
Settling In
The building blocks, botanicals and gut foundation begin to work together. Some dogs have a brief digestive adjustment as the microbiome adapts to the prebiotic fibres, which usually passes within a few days.
-
Week 2-4
First Signs of Ease
Many owners notice easier rising after rest and less hesitation at the stairs, particularly first thing in the morning.
-
Week 6-12
Building Support
Cartilage and connective tissue support builds with consistent daily use, and many owners report longer, more comfortable walks and play.
-
Ongoing
Active Years
Consistent daily use maintains the joint support Bounce provides, through busy adult years and into the senior years.
Many owners notice changes over the first few weeks. Giving Bounce consistently each day matters more than giving more.

FAQ
Your Questions Answered
What are Bonza Supplements?
Supplements are daily soft-chew supplements for dogs. Every Bite is built on a gut-health foundation of named biotics, then layered with targeted bioactives that work along a specific gut-organ axis to support a particular concern, from digestion and skin to calm, joints and senior vitality.
What is Bounce, and who is it for?
Bounce is the joint and mobility chew in the Supplements range. It is formulated for dogs who are slowing down on walks, stiff after rest or hesitant at the stairs, and for active, working and large-breed dogs whose joints work hard every day. It combines cartilage building blocks, connective tissue nutrients and botanicals with a varied prebiotic foundation to support joint comfort, flexibility and healthy mobility.
How does Bounce work?
Bounce works in three ways. It balances the gut with Biolex® MB40, Fibrofos™ 60, pectin and whole-food fibres, because a balanced microbiome helps regulate inflammation along the gut-joint axis. It supplies the building blocks of cartilage, joint fluid and connective tissue: glucosamine HCl, GreenDroitin™ chondroitin, hyaluronic acid, MSM, KynoSil® silicium, ASU and manganese. And it supports a healthy inflammatory response and protects joint tissues with boswellia, turmeric, ginger, yucca, green tea, rosehip and algae-sourced DHA.
What is the gut-joint axis, and why does it matter for joints?
The gut-joint axis is the link between the gut microbiome and joint health. An unbalanced microbiome can raise the low-grade inflammatory signals that circulate around the body and reach the joints, while a balanced one supports a healthy inflammatory response. That is why Bounce builds its joint actives on a varied prebiotic foundation. Read more about the gut-joint axis.
What is KynoSil®, and why is it in Bounce?
KynoSil® is a patented complex that combines bioavailable silicium, made with mesoporous silica technology, with glucosamine and MSM. Silicon is involved in forming collagen, the protein framework of cartilage, bone, ligaments and tendons. In Bounce it works alongside GreenDroitin™ chondroitin and hyaluronic acid to support connective tissue strength.
What is GreenDroitin™, and where do the glucosamine and chondroitin come from?
GreenDroitin™ is a chondroitin sulphate extracted from the Tremella fuciformis (snow) fungus, and the glucosamine HCl in Bounce is produced by fungal fermentation. Both are non-animal, so Bounce contains no animal cartilage or shellfish-derived ingredients.
My dog has been diagnosed with arthritis or hip or elbow dysplasia. Can I give Bounce?
Bounce is a food supplement, not a veterinary medicine, and it is not a treatment for any joint condition. Many owners of dogs with a diagnosed joint condition give Bounce daily to support joint comfort and mobility alongside the plan their vet has put in place. Talk to your vet before starting, particularly if your dog takes medication, and never stop or change a prescribed treatment without their advice.
Is Bounce suitable for dogs of all ages and sizes?
Yes. Bounce is formulated for dogs from 12 weeks and older, and the daily amount adjusts by body weight, so large and giant breeds receive a proportionally larger amount. Active and working dogs benefit from support for joints under load, adult dogs from everyday joint maintenance, and senior dogs from the full formula. For growing large-breed puppies, check with your vet first, as their joint development has specific needs.
Which Bioactive Bite is right for my dog?
Choose by the concern that matters most: Belly for digestion, Biotics for microbiome balance, Block for skin and coat, Bliss for calm, Bounce for joints and mobility, Banish for flea-season skin and coat support, and Boost for the senior years. If joints and mobility are your main concern, Bounce is the place to start. You can compare all seven Bites on our Supplements page.
What is Bounce free from, and is it suitable for dogs with allergies?
Bounce is made without meat, wheat or corn, and contains no chicken or beef, the proteins most often behind food sensitivities in dogs. It does contain avocado soybean unsaponifiables (ASU), which come from soybean oil, so if your dog has a soy allergy, speak to your vet before starting. For any diagnosed allergy, check the full ingredient list above first.
Why is Bounce plant-based?
Plant-based by consequence, not by trend. The most common food sensitivities in dogs are animal proteins like chicken and beef, so a plant-based formula sidesteps them, which is what makes Bounce gentle on sensitive dogs. It suits vegan households too, but the reason we make it this way is health, not ideology.
Is Bounce suitable for pregnant or nursing dogs?
For pregnant or nursing dogs, check with your vet before starting. Their nutritional needs change during this time, and your vet can advise on what is right for them.
Are Supplements safe?
Yes. Supplements are food supplements made from food-grade ingredients at gentle, effective levels, formulated by our nutritionist and approved by our veterinary advisory board. They are supplements, not medicines, and are designed to complement a balanced diet rather than replace veterinary care. They are made for daily, long-term use, with no need to cycle on and off. If your dog has a health condition or takes medication, check with your vet before starting.
Are there any side effects?
Bounce is well tolerated by most dogs. A few have a minor digestive adjustment in the first few days as the microbiome adapts to the prebiotic fibres, which usually passes within a week. If your dog takes medication, particularly anti-inflammatory medication, check with your vet before starting, as turmeric and boswellia have their own effect on the inflammatory response.
Who formulated Bounce?
Bounce was formulated by Bonza's founder, Glendon Lloyd, who holds Diplomas in Canine Nutrition and Dog Nutrigenomics, both with Distinction, and it is approved by our Veterinary Advisory Board. Every ingredient is selected on published research and included at a meaningful level.
Are the ingredients backed by evidence?
Yes. Every active is chosen for a reason and included at a meaningful level, not a token pinch. Bounce is nutritionist formulated and vet approved, and you can see each ingredient, its inclusion level and the published research behind it in the full formula above.
What is cold extrusion, and why does it matter?
Cold extrusion is a low-temperature way of shaping the chews. Every Bite is formed at just 38°C, close to a dog's body temperature, rather than the high heat of conventional cooking and standard extrusion. That matters because heat degrades many of the actives we use, from prebiotic fibres and delicate oils to vitamins and plant compounds. Keeping the process gentle helps preserve them, so the levels shown in the formula are protected through manufacture.
How long until I see a difference?
Many owners notice easier rising and less hesitation at the stairs within two to four weeks. The fuller benefits of cartilage and connective tissue support build over six to twelve weeks of consistent daily use. Joint support is cumulative, so giving Bounce consistently each day matters more than giving more.
Can I give Bounce with medication or other supplements?
Bounce is a food supplement rather than a medicine, and it generally sits comfortably alongside a balanced diet and other supplements. If your dog takes medication, including anti-inflammatory or pain medication, or is on a veterinary diet, check with your vet first, as they can advise on timing and suitability.
How many Bites should I give my dog?
Give Bounce daily by your dog's weight: one Bite up to 10kg, two Bites for 10 to 20kg, three Bites for 20 to 30kg, and four Bites over 30kg. Give as a treat, broken over food or with a meal, and keep to the same time each day. Many owners give Bounce in the morning, when stiffness is often most noticeable.
Can my dog have too many?
Bounce is made from food-grade ingredients at gentle levels, so an extra Bite now and then is not a cause for alarm. Stick to the daily amount for your dog's weight for the best results. If your dog ever gets into a whole pack, a large one-off amount may cause temporary loose stools, so keep an eye on them and contact your vet if you have any concerns.
Can I give my dog more than one Bite at a time?
Yes. Many owners pair Bounce with Biotics as the Mobility Routine: Biotics adds a live probiotic and postbiotics to complete the gut foundation beneath Bounce. When combining more than one, introduce them gradually and follow the feeding guide on each pack by your dog's weight.
Can I give Bites alongside my dog's usual food?
Yes. Supplements are a daily soft chew given as a treat or with food, so they fit alongside whatever your dog already eats, including our Superfoods & Ancient Grains. If you are introducing more than one Bite, add them gradually.
What if my dog doesn't like the Supplements?
Most dogs take to the soft chews readily, but if yours does not, that is exactly what our Health & Happiness Guarantee is for. Get in touch and we will make it right.
What is the Health & Happiness Guarantee?
Your dog's health and happiness is our number one priority. If your dog doesn't take to their Bites, or you're not completely happy for any reason, you get your money back, no quibbles, with no need to return anything: simply donate any unwanted Bites to a friend or a nearby animal shelter.
