One Gut. Whole Dog.™
Description
Belly is the digestive support chew in the Supplements functional supplement range: a daily soft chew built on the Biotics Triad of prebiotics, probiotics and postbiotics, then layered with digestive botanicals, L-Glutamine and clinoptilolite that work through the gut-metabolic axis. It is formulated to support comfortable, settled digestion and a resilient gut lining for dogs whose stomachs need extra care. Made without meat, wheat, soy or corn.
Belly is formulated to support:
- Comfortable, settled digestion
- Healthy stool quality and regularity
- The gut barrier and intestinal lining
- A balanced, diverse gut microbiome
- A healthy inflammatory response in the gut
- The natural clearance of unwanted compounds from the digestive tract
- Nutrient absorption and everyday vitality
Ingredients
18 targeted bioactives, led by the digestive botanicals ginger, chamomile and pineapple (a natural source of bromelain), cranberry, L-Glutamine and clinoptilolite, built on two postbiotics (TruPet™ and Lactobacillus helveticus HA-122), the Calsporin® probiotic and Biolex® MB40 and Fibrofos™ 60 prebiotic fibres, with DHAgold™ algae, supporting vitamins, minerals and botanicals, plus rapeseed oil for balanced essential fats. Every ingredient and inclusion level is listed in full below. See the Inside This Formula section for the full breakdown.
Cold Extrusion Benefits
Heat is the enemy of many of the actives that make a supplement worth giving, so every Bioactive Bite is cold-extruded, shaped at a gentle 38°C, close to a dog's own body temperature.
Why the gentle process matters:
- Prebiotic fibres stay whole. Fructo-oligosaccharides such as those in Fibrofos™ 60 are broken down by high heat, which splits the fibre into simple sugars and reduces its prebiotic value, so a gentle process helps keep them intact.
- Omega-3 oils stay intact. Fragile fats like the DHA in DHAgold™ oxidise and lose their value when heated, so a low temperature helps protect them.
- Vitamins and antioxidants are preserved. Heat-sensitive nutrients such as natural vitamin E hold their potency rather than being cooked off.
- Plant enzymes and botanicals keep their activity. Delicate compounds, including the bromelain from pineapple and the volatile actives in botanicals like ginger and turmeric, are easily degraded by heat.
- Declared levels are protected. A gentle process means far less is lost in the making, so the inclusion levels on the pack are protected through manufacture.
In short, cold extrusion is how a carefully designed formula still delivers once it is in the bowl.

When Your Dog's Digestion Never Quite Settles
It is rarely one bad day. It is the loose stools that come and go, the wind, the gurgling tummy, the meal that does not sit right and the walk cut short. When your dog's digestion is unsettled, their whole world narrows, and so does yours.
Unsettled digestion often shares a common thread: a gut that is out of balance. When the microbial community in your dog's digestive system is disrupted, by a change of food, antibiotics, stress or simply time, the gut lining comes under pressure, stools lose their consistency and everyday comfort suffers. The gut is also where around 70% of the immune system resides, which is why a settled gut matters far beyond the food bowl.
Belly is designed to support a settled gut.
Not to mask signs with a quick fix, but to support the microbial balance, gut lining and digestive comfort your dog needs to feel like themselves again.
What Belly Supports
Six Ways Belly Supports Your Dog's Digestion
Each benefit starts in the gut, where comfortable digestion is built day by day.
Digestive Comfort
Digestive botanicals and a natural enzyme support smooth, settled digestion after every meal.
The science
Ginger (18.75mg) and chamomile (11.25mg) are traditionally used to support digestive comfort, while bromelain from pineapple (15mg) supports the breakdown of dietary protein.
For the evidence, see the microbiome pillarStool Quality
Prebiotic fibres and a studied probiotic support well-formed, consistent stools day to day.
The science
Fibrofos™ 60 (108.75mg of chicory FOS) supports short-chain fatty acid production and stool quality, while Calsporin® (Bacillus velezensis DSM 15544), at 7.5 × 10⁸ CFU per chew, has been studied for its effect on faecal lactobacilli and digestibility in dogs.
For the evidence, see gut dysbiosis in dogsGut Barrier Support
L-Glutamine, zinc and postbiotic compounds support the integrity of the gut lining, the barrier between what your dog eats and the rest of their body.
The science
L-Glutamine (48.75mg per chew) fuels the cells that line the gut, zinc supports the gut-barrier lining, and postbiotic compounds from TruPet™ and L. helveticus HA-122 support the integrity of the intestinal lining.
For the evidence, see our gut barrier guideMicrobiome Balance
The Biotics Triad of prebiotics, probiotics and postbiotics supports a balanced, diverse gut microbiome, the foundation of settled digestion.
The science
Fibrofos™ 60 and Biolex® MB40 selectively feed beneficial bacteria, Calsporin® adds a studied spore-forming strain, and two postbiotics, TruPet™ (142.5mg) and L. helveticus HA-122, deliver the beneficial compounds those bacteria produce.
For the evidence, see the Biotics TriadNatural Clearance
Clinoptilolite, a natural zeolite mineral, binds unwanted compounds in the digestive tract and supports the body's natural clearance.
The science
Clinoptilolite (72.13mg per chew) has a cage-like mineral structure that binds compounds in the digestive tract, including ammonia and bacterial endotoxins, supporting their natural clearance.
For the evidence, see the gut-liver axisHealthy Inflammatory Response
Botanicals such as turmeric and boswellia, alongside algae-sourced Omega-3, support a healthy inflammatory response in the gut.
The science
Boswellia serrata, turmeric (providing curcumin, with black pepper extract to aid absorption) and ginger are traditionally used to support a healthy inflammatory response, alongside DHAgold™ algae, a source of long-chain Omega-3 (DHA).
For the evidence, see the gut-immune axisHow the Biotics Triad Works
The Science Behind Belly
-
Feed & Populate
Prebiotic fibres, Fibrofos™ 60 and Biolex® MB40, feed the beneficial bacteria already living in your dog's gut, while Calsporin® (Bacillus velezensis DSM 15544), a studied spore-forming probiotic, survives digestive transit to add more of them. The more good bacteria at work, and the more varied they are, the better supported your dog's microbiome, and that microbiome is the foundation of comfortable digestion.
Fibrofos™ 60 feeds beneficial bacteria · Calsporin® delivers 7.5 × 10⁸ CFU per chew
-
Deliver the Postbiotics
Two named postbiotics, TruPet™ and Lactobacillus helveticus HA-122, deliver the beneficial compounds those bacteria produce. Those compounds feed the cells that line the gut wall, the thin, living barrier that sits between what your dog eats and the rest of their body. A well-nourished gut lining is what keeps everyday digestion settled, comfortable and resilient, which is why this layer matters as much as the bacteria themselves.
TruPet™ 142.5mg · L. helveticus HA-122 1.35 × 10⁹ cells
-
Settle and Protect
Belly then goes further for the digestive tract itself. Ginger, chamomile and bromelain from pineapple support settled digestion, L-Glutamine and zinc support the gut lining, clinoptilolite binds unwanted compounds so they pass through, and boswellia and turmeric support a healthy inflammatory response. A settled gut also supports the rest of the body along the gut-organ axes, from metabolism and immunity to skin and coat. One Gut. Whole Dog.™ is not just a name. It is how the body actually works.

Your Dog's Journey With Belly
Supporting microbial balance is a gradual, biological process, not an instant fix. Here is what many owners report as a general guide.
-
Week 1-2
Settling In
The probiotic gets to work while the prebiotic fibres start feeding beneficial bacteria. Some dogs have slightly softer stools or a little more wind at first as the microbiome shifts, which usually passes within a week or two.
-
Week 2-4
Digestive Comfort
Many owners notice firmer, more consistent stools, less wind and calmer digestion as the gut environment settles.
-
Month 2-3
Steadier Digestion
As the botanicals build and the gut lining is supported, many owners report fewer unsettled days and a dog that is more comfortable after meals, with a healthier-looking coat to follow.
-
Ongoing
Maintained Comfort
Consistent daily use helps maintain the microbial balance and gut-lining support that Belly provides, keeping digestion settled through changes of routine, food or season.
Many owners notice changes over the first few weeks. Giving Belly consistently each day matters more than giving more.

FAQ
Your Questions Answered
What are Bonza Supplements?
Supplements are daily soft-chew supplements for dogs. Every Bite is built on a gut-health foundation, the Biotics Triad of prebiotics, probiotics and postbiotics, then layered with targeted bioactives that work along a specific gut-organ axis to support a particular concern, from digestion and skin to calm, joints and senior vitality.
What is Belly, and who is it for?
Belly is the digestive support chew in the Supplements range. It is formulated for dogs whose digestion needs extra care: dogs with sensitive stomachs, loose or inconsistent stools, frequent wind or a tummy that is easily unsettled by change. It combines the Biotics Triad with digestive botanicals, L-Glutamine and clinoptilolite to support comfortable digestion, consistent stools and a resilient gut lining.
What is the Biotics Triad?
It is the three-part gut foundation behind every Bite. Prebiotics feed the good bacteria, probiotics add more of them, and postbiotics deliver the beneficial compounds they produce. Together they support microbial diversity and the gut barrier, the base every other system builds on.
What are the gut-organ axes?
The gut is in constant two-way communication with the rest of the body along pathways known as axes: gut-metabolic, gut-immune, gut-skin, gut-brain and more. Each Bite is built to work through a specific axis, which is how supporting the gut can support digestion, skin, mood, joints and beyond. Explore the gut-organ axes.
My dog has been diagnosed with IBD, colitis or another digestive condition. Can I give Belly?
Belly is a food supplement, not a veterinary medicine, and it is not a treatment for any digestive condition. Many owners of dogs with a diagnosed condition give Belly daily to support digestive comfort alongside the care plan their vet has put in place. Talk to your vet before starting, particularly if your dog takes medication, and never stop or change a prescribed treatment without their advice.
What does clinoptilolite do, and why is it in Belly?
Clinoptilolite is a natural zeolite mineral with a cage-like structure, declared as a technological feed additive. In the digestive tract it binds compounds such as ammonia and bacterial endotoxins, supporting their natural clearance. At 72.13mg per chew it works alongside the rest of the formula to support a comfortable, settled gut.
Which Bioactive Bite is right for my dog?
Choose by the concern that matters most: Belly for digestion, Biotics for microbiome balance, Block for skin and coat, Bliss for calm, Bounce for joints and mobility, Banish for flea-season skin and coat support, and Boost for the senior years. If digestion is your main concern, Belly is the place to start. You can compare all seven Bites on our Supplements page.
Are Supplements suitable for sensitive dogs, puppies and seniors?
Supplements are made without meat, wheat, soy, corn or artificial additives, which suits many dogs with sensitivities. They are formulated for dogs from 12 weeks and older. If your dog has a medical condition or takes medication, check with your vet before starting.
What is Belly free from, and is it suitable for dogs with allergies?
Belly is made without meat, wheat, soy or corn, so it contains no chicken or beef, the proteins most often behind food sensitivities in dogs. That makes it a gentle daily choice for many sensitive dogs. If your dog has a diagnosed allergy, check the full ingredient list above before starting, and have a word with your vet if you are unsure.
Why is Belly plant-based?
Plant-based by consequence, not by trend. The most common food sensitivities in dogs are animal proteins like chicken and beef, so a plant-based formula sidesteps them, which is what makes Belly gentle on sensitive dogs. It suits vegan households too, but the reason we make it this way is health, not ideology.
Is Belly suitable for pregnant or nursing dogs?
For pregnant or nursing dogs, check with your vet before starting. Their nutritional needs change during this time, and your vet can advise on what is right for them.
Are Supplements safe?
Yes. Supplements are food supplements made from food-grade ingredients at gentle, effective levels, formulated by our nutritionist and approved by our veterinary advisory board. They are supplements, not medicines, and are designed to complement a balanced diet rather than replace veterinary care. They are made for daily, long-term use, with no need to cycle on and off. If your dog has a health condition or takes medication, check with your vet before starting.
Are there any side effects?
A small number of dogs have slightly softer stools or a little more wind in the first few days as the microbiome adjusts to the probiotic and prebiotic fibres. This usually settles within one to two weeks. If your dog has a known sensitivity to any listed ingredient, check with your vet before starting.
Who formulated Belly?
Belly was formulated by Bonza's founder, Glendon Lloyd, who holds Diplomas in Canine Nutrition and Dog Nutrigenomics, both with Distinction, and it is approved by our Veterinary Advisory Board. Every ingredient is selected on published research and included at a meaningful level.
Are the ingredients backed by evidence?
Yes. Every active is chosen for a reason and included at a meaningful level, not a token pinch. Belly is nutritionist formulated and vet approved, and you can see each ingredient, its inclusion level and the published research behind it in the full formula above.
What is cold extrusion, and why does it matter?
Cold extrusion is a low-temperature way of shaping the chews. Every Bite is formed at just 38°C, close to a dog's body temperature, rather than the high heat of conventional cooking and standard extrusion. That matters because heat degrades many of the actives we use, from prebiotic fibres and omega-3 oils to vitamins and delicate plant compounds. Keeping the process gentle helps preserve them, so the levels shown in the formula are protected through manufacture.
How long until I see a difference?
Many owners notice firmer, more consistent stools and less wind within two to four weeks as the microbiome begins to shift. The botanical actives build over four to eight weeks of daily use, and the fullest picture usually emerges over two to three months. Giving Belly consistently each day matters more than giving more.
When is the best time to give Belly?
Any time of day. Many owners give it with a main meal, which suits dogs with sensitive stomachs and makes the routine easy to keep. Consistency matters more than timing.
Can I give Belly with medication or other supplements?
Belly is a food supplement rather than a medicine, and it generally sits comfortably alongside a balanced diet and other supplements. If your dog takes medication, including antibiotics, steroids or other treatment for a digestive condition, check with your vet first, as they can advise on timing and suitability.
How many Bites should I give my dog?
Give Belly daily by your dog's weight: one Bite up to 10kg, two Bites for 10 to 20kg, three Bites for 20 to 30kg, and four Bites over 30kg. Give as a treat or with food, and keep to the same time each day. Consistency matters more than giving more.
Can my dog have too many?
Belly is made from food-grade ingredients at gentle levels, so an extra Bite now and then is not a cause for alarm. Stick to the daily amount for your dog's weight for the best results. If your dog ever gets into a whole pack, a large one-off amount may cause temporary loose stools, so keep an eye on them and contact your vet if you have any concerns.
Can I give my dog more than one Bite at a time?
Yes. Many owners pair Belly with one other targeted Bite, such as Block for skin and coat or Bliss for calm, as a daily routine. When combining more than one, introduce them gradually and follow the feeding guide on each pack by your dog's weight.
Can I give Bites alongside my dog's usual food?
Yes. Supplements are a daily soft chew given as a treat or with food, so they fit alongside whatever your dog already eats, including our Superfoods & Ancient Grains. If you are introducing more than one Bite, add them gradually.
What if my dog doesn't like the Supplements?
Most dogs take to the soft chews readily, but if yours does not, that is exactly what our Health & Happiness Guarantee is for. Get in touch and we will make it right.
What is the Health & Happiness Guarantee?
Your dog's health and happiness is our number one priority. If your dog doesn't take to their Bites, or you're not completely happy for any reason, you get your money back, no quibbles, with no need to return anything: simply donate any unwanted Bites to a friend or a nearby animal shelter.
